Well, off-road fans, you’ve been waiting patiently and now they are finally here. The new 2016 Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited are rolling out and your dealer can’t wait for customers to get behind the wheel of these sleek yet classic Jeep models.
Chrysler has had a busy year, giving face lifts left and right. It’s new Jeep Grand Cherokee even has a revamped engine and met with rave reviews upon it s arrival. The Wrangler models aren’t complete makeovers, but their interiors have been largely upgraded and they sport new body-color hardtops.
For long-time Jeep lovers, the new models are not always a favorite, but this year’s will probably please even the most die-hard, classic Jeep fan. The Wrangler still looks like itself but customers of a this brand will note that it also seems sleeker, with slightly more modern lines.
Changes For 2016 Wrangler
On the interior, the steering wheel, center control stack and gauges have been updated and the doors on the dash even have a new look. Air conditioner vents have been reshaped and cargo compartments have been added. There is even a storage compartment that can be locked. This is certainly good news for those of us who have a lot of stuff to stash whether we’re commuting to work or taking a weekend road trips to the hills.
The unseen improvements may be the most radical, with added acoustic materials to reduce interior noise. Just think, if the rugged Wrangler is getting such posh updates, imagine what Chrysler might do for its true luxury vehicles. Buyers should know that the 2016 Jeep Wrangler should be on sale by the end of this month – just in time for some winter fun.
This upgrade isn’t something that can easily be described in words. The pictures probably don’t even do it justice. You need to get to a showroom and see the new Wrangler models in person and experience the feel of the new interior and the dampened sound.
Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
One change that may or may not be only perception – the new styling on the four-door Wrangler seems a bit Hummer-ish. That may just be because Wrangler hasn’t had a major overhaul for awhile or because Hummers have gotten smaller and more prevalent. But the bottom line is that buyers of 2016 Jeep Wrangler will have to decide for themselves if the new model is truly worthy of ownership by true Jeep fans. I think they will decide in favor of the 2016 model. After all, who truly wants to be driving a stripped-down, old-fashioned model when you can have the entire package with this one.
The integrity of the 2016 Jeep Wrangler is intact and new comfort, space and technological upgrades can only enhance the experience on- or off-road. Now, if you would really like to have an authentic “roughing it” experience, hang on to the old model for some mudding and fun and pick up the 2016 to tool about town. It’s downright fashionable.
