Nissan luxury brand Infiniti is well known with their vehicles that always managed to offer great luxury and decent performances. For those that are looking for more on the performance segment we have the 2015 Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge concept that has been already presented at the Detroit Auto Show.
When it appeared for the first time it was obvious that this will be a high performance vehicle, at least we could hear that from representatives of the company, but there was one problem with this vehicle. It did not have an engine to back up those claims.
This was the situation at the Detroit Auto Show but according to reports at the Geneva Motor Show we will be getting this model with engine. There are still no confirmations about the powerplant which will be installed here but we could hear that the unit responsible for moving this luxury sedan will be coming with more than 500 hp and 600 pound feet of torque.
Specs Of 2015 Infiniti Q50
Not many engines in Nissan lineup can deliver this amount of power so we are looking in the way of Nissan GT-R that comes with a turbocharged V cylinder placement engine. More details about this engine and vehicle will be offered pretty soon in Geneva but until than we have received video teaser in which we can hear the roar of this engine. It is obvious that it is turbocharged but also we can conclude that it will come in a V shape.
Premium sedan segment where we have great competitors will become quite interesting place with the addition of this vehicle. Luxury and performances will be on high level in this vehicle and it will be interesting to see the sale results and to compare it with main competitors.
At this moment we need to add that this most powerful Infiniti has a good chance to go in production but that this is not a done deal. We could hear from company that they will continue to monitor and gather feedback from customers about what they want and later decided to bring this vehicle or not.
2015 Infiniti Q50 Release Date
Newest technology will be integrated here and in combination with Formula One-inspired carbon fiber bodywork powerful engine will certainly come as a great choice. Compared to standard 2015 Infiniti Q50 we expect that this version comes with slightly tweaked exterior so it would offer even better performances. Release date has not yet been confirmed but we do expect it to be delivered few months after the official introduction at the Geneva.
