SUV’s come as a logical evolution of the minivans and station wagons, the 2015 Buick Enclave brings great offer for every driver that is looking for a family vehicle in this segment. With improved handling, efficiency, space usage, design improvements and similar we are have a possibility to choose from few great rides.
Looking at the current market we can notice that main competitors to the redesigned Enclave will be Audi Q7, Acura MDX and similar but still we a re giving good chances to Buick to successfully launch this model. Price is significantly lower and base price tag is slightly lower than $40.000 while we are still getting luxury and features like from much more expensive competition.
Redesigned 2015 Buick Enclave
Even 2015 model comes as a redesigned car we do expect to stay almost identical to the previous mode. Slight changes to the front, improving aerodynamics and better air supply to engine will be noticeable. Also we do expect headlights to offer LED technology and these changes will make it look far more aggressive but still refined. Other changes to exterior include different, remodeled wheels and at the rear end we will be getting tail lights that also come with LED tech.
As we said luxury in this vehicle is on a decent level and things like LED ambient light and InteliLink touch screen pushes this vehicle to higher class. Through a central console mounted touchscreen driver is capable of controlling of almost every system in vehicle but also to get direction, fuel economy figures and much more. With possibility of 7 or eight passengers seating this SUV comes as one of the best solution for drivers with larger families.
One of the things where 2015 Buick Enclave could be offered with additional improvements is the engine lineup. Only the 3.6 liter V6 unit is available, this is a great engine but still more modern powertrains with hybrid components should offer much better fuel economy and even better performances. With direct injection this naturally aspirated engine offers 288 hp at 6300 rpm and 270 lb-ft of torque available at 3400 rpm. According to EPA numbers 2014th model with this unit offered 17/24 in FWD and 16/22 in AWD models so we do expect to see slight improvement in this segment. Addition of turbocharged, smaller displacement engine with similar power but higher fuel economy and hybrid models in the lineup we think that Enclave could be much more attractive to larger number of people. At this moment these are only rumors.
As we mentioned before the base price is slightly under $40.000 and this can go significantly higher like it was with the 2014th model. The AWD model with top of the line features costs even slightly higher than $55.000 which still is competitive when compared to other offers.
New Buick Enclave Release Date
We still do not have confirmations about the release date for the 2015 Buick Enclave but we could hear that tests are pretty much over, only few tweaks are waited and that in the next few months we will be getting more details about it. If this is a true than we could see it officially presented during the fall which means sales could start slightly before the end of 2014th or in early 2015th.
